Sex ( Why are Christians afraid to have honest discussions about it?)

Sex, historically has been a bad word in the body of Christ, I mean from the stand point of having real, honest and open conversation about it from a biblical, emotional, sensual and natural point of view. However, christians, including pastors seemingly have more problems with sex than those who practice sin as a lifestyle. We who are called to uphold a standard for the world have just as many if not more problems around sexual issues than the world.

We MUST have deeper, wiser and more real discussion, teaching and preaching concerning this issue so that people will be well informed so that each of us can make decisions that help us to marry partners that have the same sexual desires, appetite and inclination as long as they remain within a frame that God can honor. God does not want us to have frigid sexual relationships with a spouse but He also doesn't want an anything goes sexual relationships. He wants us to have balance yet more freedoms than the church has been willing to discuss. Hopefully this will decrease the number of divorces in the church.

Brother James no argument about Christianity with you. The reason being is because Christianity is out of alignment with God. When I say this I don't mean all because there are those that are not part of any denomination that are in alignment and some good Christians that are not out of alignment. But usually those are not in a box under religion and trapped in man's traditions. Sects, denominations and religion are not of God but of man. This is what I refuse to follow and why I don't follow man period. Man takes God's pure Words and teachings and labels them with their belief systems and thus corrupts God's purpose. Man is thus a liar and God is truth, so it is Him that I follow through my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Now I know this will be taken wrong by some but you know me I'm not concerned with that. I know the educated are taught we must know and learn Hebrew culture to understand the things of God but I disagree with that and though I do look up certain words for translation, I don't feel the need to understand Hebrew and the Hebrew culture. I get that in the Old Testament and frankly their culture got them in trouble and I'm thankful for that and I don't have to be a Jew or a Gentile to be accepted by God and I'm also thankful to Him for that too. God bless.
Hello James,

You said, "they were not very tall people," But in Deuteronomy 3:11...For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man. according to this Og was about 13-1/2ft tall, I think that's tall enough to be considered a giant. don't you?
Other references are:
Numbers 13:33
Numbers 21:33
Deutoronomy 1:28
Deutoronomy 2:10 - 21
Deutoronomy 3:11
Deutoronomy 9:2
Joshua 12:4
1Samuel 17:4
2Samuel 21:19
1Chronicles 20:5 - 6

The Bible has other places for Og and these passages are of the giants. The Israelites were suppose to destroy all the giants but as usual they never destroyed completely who God commanded them to destroy.
Brother Busby,
I agree with you that what most are dealing with are demonic encounters. On page 8 I referenced a story of a co-worker that had such an encounter. I do want to know your take on the following scripture however. Who were the sons of God referenced here? We're they not fallen angels?

Genesis 6:4 KJV
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
EW,

No, they were not fallen angels. That is not what Giants mean. I gave you the meaning of what Giants were in Hebraic thought. Tradition says they were fallen angels, but not the actual text w/ Hebraic understanding.
I GUESS WE WILL FIND OUT WHEN JESUS RETURN
AMEM
According to Job 1:6...Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Also in Job 38:4-8 ....Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? This passage proves that the sons of God were there when God laid the foundations the earth. They were not men since men did not exist yet, the sons of God were angels and these sons of God took wives.

Now the children they bared were giants, and regardless of what this means the scripture says Og was 9 cubits = 13-½ ft tall, and Goliath was 6 cubits and a span which = 9.9ft, that’s clear to me that they were giants
the bible does say that they were the son's of God (angels), and that they took wives and if they did this they were fallen sons of God (angels) These are the angels that kept not their first estate: Jude 1:6...And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
LEIGH BEAR YOU ARE OFF THE WALL MY MY MY
Bro Busby,
If demons can do this (The Entity movie) then angels can also. Who do you consider the sons of God to be in Gen 6?
Rest,

Go back and read my responses concerning that. Yeshuah said we shall be like angels. Angels do not marry, neither are they given into marriage. As I was speaking to EW, in Hebraic culture, getting married ALWAYS includes sex. So, when Yeshuah made those statements about marriage.. He also included sex, for it consumates the marriage. Angels do not, and cannot have sex, and neither will we humans in the resurrection.
