Philippians 1:6 declares the following: “And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ, developing and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you (Amplified).”

This word should be such an encouragement to us, as we daily walk with God. The reason for this is because this verse should constantly remind us of our responsibility to God, and His promise to us. This scripture is a promise so we should recognize that God will fulfill it, because the promises of God are yea, and Amen, and He is faithful to perform all that He has promised us through His word, as He is not a man that can tell a lie.

Even though we know God will do this and will quote this passage with great confidence, hidden in it, is our responsibility to this promise as God’s child. Our response to this is to find rest in God working in us, like a potter or an artist does with a fine masterpiece, notice the canvas or clay doesn’t give resistance to the maker, as it stays still under the fire, or change of colors, until it is ready to be displayed at it’s moment of completion, so are we to be in allowing God to work His promises, plans, and purpose for our lives.

This will occur when we find comfort, joy, love, and peace, in Him by submitting ourselves to Him daily. This occurs when we understand that because God saved us, He desires to work in us that He can be glorified in and through us. The manifestation of these truths happen when we make up daily in our minds and spirit to let go of the areas of our lives that His Spirit points out to us that need work. As we submit to the direction and unction of the Spirit, God empowers us and graces us to walk and to work out what He (God) has worked in by His Spirit.

So take the daily challenge to let go of self/flesh, so God can complete in you the work that He has started in you, as we continually stay in preparation for the King, and the Kingdom. Have a blessed and prosperous day in the Lord.
