Hip Hop in the Church

I now understand more and more about this so-call world of "Hip-Hop". I understand now why "Hip-Hop"has really no place in our churches and yet it's slowly creeping in our church doors. After hearing all of this, I will stand behind fellow clergy members by NOT allowing "Hip-Hop" into our churches.

Pastors,Ministers and Church Leaders, would you allow "Hip-Hop" in your churches? Is this a way in keeping our youth in church? I am interested in all feedback concerning this issue.

Here is where you guys are getting confused. Your righteousness is nothing but filthy rags to God, it is through the righteousness of Christ that we are able to worship. None of us in it of ourselves will ever be good enough. It was Jesus Christ that bridged the gap for us. Anything that is covered by the blood of Christ is new. Read the following and please tell me what is sinful about it. Note these are originals to the person that wrote it, He didn't imitate anyone. If there is something that you disagree with that is not Biblical, let me know in detail what it is and why.

He's a phony, he's really lonely that's why he clubs every week night
He can't handle the storm, he's like a cheap kite
He needs Christ, he's the opposite of Levite:
Unholy and a contradiction like "free price"
blind as a bat or better yet blind as three mice
Either way you look at it the crooks get it
don't look at me like I'm pathetic, the book said it!"

I almost think your breath is wasted... you are arguing culture with a pack of folks who have not noticed the decline of christian values in the american space....and if they have noticed they are not inclined to do anything about it...just sing some really old hyms ...as though anyone is participating ...holy hip hop is an active call to worship...7 days a week not 1 day or actually 1/2 day....

Someone was saying that if the church does not allow certain types of music in the church - YOUNG PEOPLE WONT BE DRAWN TO GOD.
Thats ridiculous.
God draws folks not some entertainer or his or her song.

I agree with the statement that God draws people...Im just saying that banning hip hop from church or the wholesale disqualification of a ministry just because they endorse holy hip hop is flat out ridiculous

It is very misleading to our generation and beyond. There is so much illict sexual immorality, popping the booty, grinding up and down on the floor, let alone having half naked young females showing all of thier body parts, and kissing and grinding on each other, Here some are intertaining their children with this sickenss perverted diease, mainly those that profess Christ out of thier mouth, but their heart is far from from Him/
Alot of profantiy, alot of dirty dancing, alot of the God that they are trusting, bling, bling, show me the money.
Here what some of us are doing is being the hands of satan, killing our generation slowing by sending them a mix message, and GOd is not please.
I Corinthians Ch:10:21-22 Prophetically declares; Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the devils, ye cannot be partakers of the LOrd's table, and of the table of the devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than HE?
We that are suppose to be the light of the world have became the dim light of the world, by misleading our generation to more Idolatry.
It is down right spiritual whoredom when you allow satan to use you as his tool to mislead our generation straight to HELL!
Matthew Ch:23:15 prophetically declares: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the CHILD of HELL THAN YOURSELVES.

You really are confused??? I am praying for your deliverence! No one is questioning the words of the songs that you support. What the Spirit of the Lord finds repugnant is the spirit that carries the words. Please understand; it really does not matter who is in the (black limousine) when it arrives at the front door...the Limousine draws the attention; its the limousine that delivers the package and when the limousine is dented, back window busted out, tires flat then observant people will be led to a conclusion.

Whether you admit or not; the HIP HOP Limo is damaged! the Hip Hop Limo is repugnant! Ugly disfigured; why would you put the Pure word of God in vehicle like that? You would'nt get into a limo that looks like its on its last leg tires flat, broken down sputtering why would you transport Gods word in that ragedy untamed, ungodly, rebelliouse, spiritual carriage?

We are Gods chosen vesles; let us not package ourselves to resemble the trash of this world! but let us clothes ourselves in the rightousness and take on the garment of praise! and be Trans-formed by the renewing of our minds- a new mind can bring about a new sound! a new mind deserves a New Limo- a New carriage- Please repent you brother have a zeal to do Gods will, but it does not appear that it is according to knowledge.

if you make the argument that the beat itself is evil I would say
show me in the bible...God would not skim over such a big thing as music
