Preacher PLEASE Follow Jesus Example!

Help people understand Jesus' role as a preacher. Communicate biblical passages that describe Jesus as a preacher and tell what He preached. Ground your own preaching firmly in Jesus' preaching model - proclaiming the good news of His kingdom in terms that your listeners can understand. Don't preach about people as much as you preach about God - who He is, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do.

Confront pluralism. Don't be… Continue

Too Much Division in the Body

The demonic walls of separation in the Protestant church MUST come down. How can we preach to the Catholic about the mote in his eye, while we the Protestants have a beam in our own? The saints of God must gather at the foot of the cross of Jesus. The Word of God must be all of our training manuals. Salvation by grace through faith is what caused Martin Luther to start the first reformation; we have departed from this in a great way. The doctrine of salvation through grace and faith has to be… Continue

How Do I Get Tax-Exempt Status?

What is 501(c)(3)

Church leaders are often confused by their friends (or their Attorney's), when they are told they must "Get" a 501(c)(3). What they mean to say is, "Do you have a favorable "Ruling Letter" from the IRS." When a church chooses to file the IRS Form 1023, they will receive this letter.

The Church must meet both the organizational and operational test. Whereas Section 501(c)(3) of the US Tax Code (and its’ various sub sections) describe the various organizations exempt… Continue

Is Your Foundation Sure?

Without a proper foundation, buildings don't stand, civilizations don't last, and Christians don't witness well. The foundation I am talking about is the foundation of basic Christian doctrine. Do you know what the Trinity is? How many natures does Jesus have, one or two? Are we saved by grace through faith or by grace and works? For what purpose did Jesus die? Did He rise from the dead? If so, why? Perhaps you do not believe that knowing doctrine is… Continue

The Anointing and The Holy Spirit

Take a close look at these Bible verses

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

What was that again? The ‘Anointing’ teaches you of all things...

How can the "anointing" teach a person anything? The… Continue

Jesus HAD to Come

Romans 8:3 tells us, “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.” It says God sent HIS SON! I believe The Word (Jesus) always had a father and son relationship, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh. The triunity of God has always existed.

The fact that… Continue

Why Jesus Hated Legalism

In Jesus’ day, the Pharisees, ostensibly in an attempt to keep God’s Law, had devised and added hundreds of manmade laws. But in so doing, they had shifted the focus from the heart to the

outward man. This included elaborate rituals for washing them-selves before meals and for cleansing their dishes and utensils.

While there was a basis for these practices in the Book of Leviticus

(11:33-34; 15:12), the Pharisees had taken them far beyond whatGod intended. Jesus uses this practice… Continue

Why Paul Had to Address Legalism at Galatia

The principles to be derived from the example of the Galatian church are listed below:

Legalism is a result of a process of turning away from the truth. It is therefore deliberate (volitional). People deliberately choose legalism.

The type of legalism which a person follows is often be related to some kind of background exposure, practice, or principle. A person's culture and upbringing will determine what type of religion he follows. Galatians deals with… Continue

Believe + keep the Law of Moses

Believe + be circumcised

Believe + water baptism

Believe + confess your sins

Believe + give up your bad habits and fully surrender

Believe + make a public display or have great sorrow of a show of tears

Believe + church… Continue

What Does The Bible Say About False Prophets

Mat 24:3-5,10-11 (NIV) ..."Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered, "Watch out that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name,.. At that time many will turn away from the faith... and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people."

As spiritual adultery increases in the church, false prophets will flourish as highly sought after speakers, and as Christians accept more of these… Continue
