Matthew 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."

This scripture is one of the most misquoted scriptures in the bible. If kept within the context in which it was written, many will understand that it's talking about a heavenly calling not an earthly call to ministry. Okay, ok what am I saying?

Jesus is giving a parable of a wedding banquet. He explains how many people are invited to the celebration but how those who will attend get chosen, is a process by elimination. We actually can eliminate ourselves from the celebration, the heavenly celebration that is.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that NONE should perish but SOME will. It's not His desire that ANY should perish but SOME will. He would that NONE should perish but SOME will. Do you get it yet? Just because I want you at the party, what you look and act like when you arrive will determine whether or not you get in.

Ok, ok, ok…….I'm having an all "White" party. The requirement for entry is that you wear white. You've been invited (called), you show up but you got on "purple". Guess what? You don't get in. You were not chosen to get in. Heaven is the same way. You've been invited (called). The only requirement is that you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that you do it before you die. (You can't show up on judgment day and decided at the gate that Jesus is Lord.) Once you arrive at the gate, if you've chosen Christ as Lord, then guess what? You get in! You are then CHOSEN to gain access to eternal life.

I hope this helps because I'm tired of people saying that every body is going to heaven. I don't want ANY to go to hell but hell's enlarging itself daily for somebody(ies). I hope it's not you.

Love and joy,

Me
