Proverbs 18:16

"A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men".

Listen carefully, the bible is still right and right all by itself.

Webster's dictionary says that a Gift is a present, something given to someone by another; something given voluntarily without payment in return.

The gift, whether given or received will make room for you and bring you before great men. Let's look at it in the natural, first.

If I go around giving people ten million dollars a pop, how fast do you think I would attract the greatest of men? Just let George Bush hear about it. Let Obama hear about it. Even let TD Jakes hear about a woman in Sunny South Florida giving away 10 million dollars a pop. Oh yeah, they'll be sending for me; private jets, yachts and limousines. The "gift" is 10 million dollars; it just made room for me and it just brought me before "great men".

Now, let's look at it in the spirit realm.

If I go around prophesying, telling people all about their future and watching my words come to past, how fast do you think I would attract the greatest of men? Again, let George Bush hear about this great prophet who never "misses" (that's a whole 'nother sermon) how is a true prophet gone miss? I'm sorry, back on track, but let George Bush and Obama and yes, TD Jakes hear about me telling truth down to the exact date, time and location and see wont they be sending for me. The "gift" is prophesy; it again makes room for me and brings me before great men like Bush, Barak and Jakes.

So what am I saying, I'm saying that whatever your gift is, great or small, use it and let it make room for you. NO MATTER HOW GREAT OR SMALL, your gift will make room for you. Some people have the gift of making money. Make it and use it for the glory of God. Some people have the gift of helps. HELP somebody and let the gift make room for you.

When Jesus was in human form He performed many miracles and the word got out. They didn't have the internet or telephone to announce what He did but people heard both near and far and sent for Him to come to where they were. If it seemed like He wasn't moving fast enough towards them they went to where He was.

Bottom line, all gifts are given freely from the Lord. Just as freely as He gives them, we ought to freely use them. The gifts were given to draw others to Christ. If you are not using your gift, you aren't winning souls to Christ. If you aren't winning souls to Christ, you're in jeopardy of loosing the gift and you will have to give an answer to God for the blood of men. Let me just help you right now. There is NO answer good enough as to why you didn't use the gift(s) that were given to you. You didn't have to work for it; you didn't have to buy it. You only have to USE it. So now what?

Much love,
Rev. Alford-Kennedy
