Flags on Altars...

What do you guys think about it? Does Jesus mind?

I wondered about this. I was taught those type of things shouldn't be there. Even the picture of a pastor and his wife shouldn't be in the sanctuary. But I cannot tell another what to put on their altar.

Pastor Luckett most definately, I am not saying that you should tell anyone what to put on their altar but what do you think God feels about putting a flag on His altar?

The bible says 'Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus'
What would be the mind of Christ in this matter?

If I were an Arabian pastor living here in America - would God mind having an Arabian flag on the altar?

You mean the church having them up on the pulpit today?

I would assume it would be alluding to some spiritual purspose. Pointing to something biblical.
Although some would be offended by even that...In fear that we were looking back to the OT instead of the finished work of Christ.
However, in the book of Revelation it speaks of the 12 tribes and the elders at the gates (I think)

I understood you perfectly Pastor, and I agree!!!! I wasn't speaking of putting the 12 tribes flags on the pulpit, I was making a comparison that if it was not an insult then why would a flag be an insult to God now, seeing that it was placed to Give Honor, Praise and Glory to HIM
