Are Christians to love their enemies or shoot them?
If you are to shoot them because the government told you to - do you run over and share the gospel with them first?...or do you just shoot them or drop a bomb on a house from 1000 feet in the air and do it by the authority of Jesus? Which you know the scriptures say - in word or deed, do it all in the name of Jesus?
Does one bless the bombs that are to kill people down on the ground?

I mean how is an earthly war fought in the name of the Prince of Peace?
Somebody help me out.

Or at least help a soldier rationalize killing their enemy instead of feeding and clothing them as Jesus taught.

:-) Bomb the living daylights out of them, right away and SOON!
This is a good commentary worth reflecting upon. As you know Newview, throughout the Torah/Old Testament there was nothing but 'violence' amidst godly men. That's how Israel established themselves in the land they now inhabit. Mind you, the fighting was ordained by God against His enemies.

Even Yahshua is coming back as the 'LION' who WILL KILL HIS ENEMIES (Rev. 18). So amidst life on Earth, there are two types of 'soldiers' with two types of weapons. One is our spiritual warfare as we fight in the spirit world for deliverance and the second is the manifestation of that deliverance which sometimes comes in the form of God raising up armies to defeat the wicked.

So in that respect, both physical killing and spiritual killing are acceptable. The Bible tells us that 'law enforcement' is ordained of God to protect the masses in any given society. It's a must amidst fallen humanity.
BOTH! Drop the bomb, and rebuild them up afterward in JESUS name!!

Whats is confusing here is why do you think that these wars are all being fought "in the name of JESUS"?? True there have been some (quite a few actually) that were fought clearly declaring war on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven (a great movie!), but not all are fought for that reason. This current war that we're in was never declared a Christian Crusade, thats for sure!
Bro Watson, Sis Elaine, Bro Trevor,

I am NOT saying that the government (this wordly kingdom) shouldnt kill in the name of their kingdom.
A kingdom earthly or heavenly MUST and will do what it has to against its enemies.
The earthly carnal governemnt uses weapons that carnal - the heavenly uses weapons that are spiritual.

But if you will notice I asked the question of how Jesus' followers (heavenly/spiritual) are to handle their enemies.

So I ask again:

**Are Christians to love their enemies or shoot them?
**If you are to shoot them because the government told you to - do you run over and share the gospel with them first?...or do you just shoot them or drop a bomb on a house from 1000 feet in the air and do it by the authority of Jesus?
**Which you know the scriptures say - in word or deed, do it all in the name of Jesus?

****If you cannot drop a bomb on a house full of people in the name of Jesus - Aren't you violating the bible's command to love your enemie?

When you answer - think Christian - not carnal -----> Disciple of Christ - not follower of anyone else.
I could have sworn that I answered this question that you just asked. In fact, I think all three of us answered it clearly, with Ms. Johnson giving an explanation. Wars these days are not declared on behalf of the Kingdom of Heaven. When they are, they are to be fought just as well. GOD did not call us to be lambs to the slaughter at all, but warriors. True the weapons of our warfare are no carnal, but are you going to sit still and just "die in JESUS name"? I don't mean a martyrs death either......
"...True the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, BUT are you going to sit still and just "die in JESUS name"?..."

What other name should I die in?
Die in the name of the United States or the United Nations or the United Emirates?
Give me another name to die in?
Actually, the protection of my family even to the point of someone's death IS Christ-like in my eyes! I am, as a husband, to be ready to die for my wife. I'm not just goinna die just like that!! What kinda fool you take me for?? If possible, its either me or them, for the love and protection of what GOD had given me.

Newview, you talk a good one, but let your husband not stand up for you in such a manner. Lets see how you react to it......
***"If someone enters my Brownstone, for example, through an open window, that person has now become an enemy...

1)
What did Jesus teach His followers to do about an enemy?

***"This situation isn't about Jesus, it's about the safety of my family..."

2)
What situation is NOT about God? ---> You are either obeying Him or NOT obeying Him.
When is the safety of your family NOT about God?
Why has your gun become your protector and deliverer instead of Jesus.

3)
What does Jesus telling his followers to "not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell" mean to you?
I'm one that believes and have experienced the literal power of GOD during gun fire, and even I would still pull the trigger!!!! (Bro Watson, remind me to tell you the testimony if we ever meet face-to-face)

It is the very Bible that we all read and believe that says He teaches my hands to war, and calls GOD the "LORD of Hosts". There is a Bible verse where JESUS tells the Disciples to arm themselves (Luke 22:35-38), or has that been ignored?

Hah Hah!
Jesus wanted his disciples to fight FOR ROME ?!?
No, but to protect themselves. Have you forgotten though that there were Roman Soldiers who became believers? Were they required to leave the army by the Apostles?
Were they required to leave the army by the Apostles?

Hellooooooo!

No saint Killed people for the government anymore.
No one killed for Caesar after coming to Christ.

This this tradition of fighting for a Rome was started with Constatine.
That was around 300 years after the church was started.
Dont believe me - look it up.
