Which Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH are you following?

I was just reading a book entitled, “Jesus of Suburbia” … in this book the author goes to great lengths to make the contrast between the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth vs. the Jesus/Yeshua of the Suburbs… I have to agree with the author, Christianity is split on the Person and Work of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH… many have an distorted view and understanding of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH of Nazareth… like Judas, many thought/thinke He came to over power the social, economical and political world structures… for many they preach and follow a Jesus/Yeshua that’s similar to a catastrophic Santa Claus… that’s the Jesus/Yeshua of Suburbia… Whereas, the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth never promised His followers world riches, fame, social or economic structure… but He did promise His followers a cross, a crown, and eternity with Him...

Which Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH are you teaching, preaching, and following?

ok... have you ever considered that the "Christians" that are so frustrating to some are actually coming into the knowledge of the TRUTH. As slow a process as it is... doesn't anyone acknowledge that it is happening? I have seen more and more of these so-called protestant churches not only acknolwedging feast days but observing them as well.... and it has created a "thirst" for truth... Hebraic truth.

Did you come to the knowledge of Hebraic Truth overnight???

If no one ever told me about Hebrew roots of scripture and the blatant and covert Hellenistic influence in many translations... how would I have known?

*sigh* don't be weary in well doing but also don't kick the mule that is drinking from the trough of truth one sip at a time.

Patience is not tolerance but patience should be coupled with teaching even when there is frustration with the pupil who has not asked to be a pupil. And should be doubled for the one who IS asking.

Not saying speak softly nor am I saying don't come with a "sword" when you come against religious arrogance. But ignorance... well all it needs is perserverance to overcome (on both sides)
You know.. when I was invited to the Olive Branch group, I had been reading Romans 11 (smile)

Question... were the Samaritans considered Hebrews even though they were "mixed breed". I know there was some serious cultural issues concerning this.
well alrighty then... from one mix breed to another.... (Irish, Black, American Indian - paternal and maternal)

Shalom
I wonder what responses I will get on my blog titled SAY MY NAME, SAY MY NAME. It is an interesting read for all who are or are not cognizant of the importance of knowing the meaning of... a name. And there's a non-rhetorical question at the end.

The more you learn, the more you know and the more you know the more you grow. And yet, knowing is half the battle.
You’re right my sister Tracy… knowing is only half the battle… the Pharisees knew very well… in fact they were experts in the law of knowing… there must be a transgression between knowing and practicing that what you know… living what one knows is where God wants us to be… we must keep in mind that God/YHWH wants us to have a relationship with Him… not knowledge of Him… what good is it to have directions and not utilize them? I recently tried that with putting together a swing set for my newborn daughter… I had the directions in my hand…but thought I could look at the box and put it together… it wasn’t until my wife called me and told me I forgot to put two screws that were attached to the directions in the swing to secure it… I had to go back to the directions and learn where to put the screws... God/YHWH has given us His Word to know and practice what is taught…
LOL that was my point... knowledge just makes you a "hearer" of the word. not a "doer"

but how can they hear without a.......
Ahh... dialogue... a beautiful thing.
Side bar:

The reason why the name Jesus never "sat right" with me is simple. If I went to Spain, or Italy, or Russian, or anywhere else in the world, no matter what language they were speaking they would still refer to as Kelvin. They might say "Bonjour monsieur Kelvin" if they were speaking French, or "Hola Kelvin" if they were speaking Spanish but they'd still call me Kelvin. In the same, I see significance in calling Yeshua (or Yashua/Yahushua depending on how you spell it) the same way and not creating a whole new name.

On another note :) , Yeshua is also southern for Yes you are. Haven't you ever heard some old lady talking to a baby saying, "yesh-you-are just the cutest little thing." -lol-
Okay, I know the joke part is lame. Disregard...
I would like to thank of all of you for shedding the truth on things i did not have full understanding about your really helping me with my study. God bless you all.
There is only one Jesus the Christ, the only begotten of the Father. Who is full of grace, truth, mercy, and favour. He sits at the right hand of Father God, makeing intercess. His shed blood paid the Sin Peanailty of whom so ever will. If you confess with your mouth , and believe in your heart. On this :ord Jesus the Christ,Eternal Salvation is your's
