Lift Your Head Up

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

I laid me down and slept: I awaked for the Lord sustained me.

Psalm 3:3-5

*The Lord has a beautiful way of showing off his beloved...

*He lifts our heads up...before our enemy..

*Not only that beloved verse 5 ...says...We can rest peacefully...

because the Lord sustain… Continue

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE UNEVANGELIZED IN THE WORLD, WHEN THEY DIE? HEAVEN OR HELL?

I've been asking this question for years and still the answers always amazes me in how the many people responded, not by giving a biblical foundation to justify their answers, but more of an emotional response.

I'll make the question more simple in scope, to not create any confusion or even division.

There are still 1.8 billion in the world who have never heard the name Jesus or if they did, its not a biblical understanding but an Islamic one, whereas He is merely just… Continue

MISSIONARY DATING: WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?

b>MISSIONARY DATING: What’s wrong with it?

Missionary dating is a phrase used in a Christian context to describe when a person of one religious persuasion dates a person with differing beliefs for the purpose of converting him or her. Synonymous phrases include "dating for Jesus" or "flirt to convert". The concept of missionary dating is sometimes used to justify or rationalize a romantic interest in a… Continue

Christians Celebrating Shabbat or any other Jewish holidays

Hello my fellow Body of Christ family,

Blessings to all that preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was informed that there are some holidays, festivals, or feasts that the Believers should celebrate in commemoration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Celebrating these special holidays are to provide special blessings for the Believer's life in Christ. Any of the Body of Christ family celebrating any other holidays besides the 'pagan' originated ones? Let's have fun with this one!

Don't Take It Personal

Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,

and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven:

for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Your are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith

shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be

trodden under foot of… Continue

Knowledge

Doesn't the Bible say that knowledge will be "destroyed"? Isn't it "incomplete"? Doesn't it "puff up"? And then there's the "tree of"! But aren't we also told to "look/ask/seek for it and walk in it"?

First, we will look at knowledge, wisdom, and understanding as a single issue.

How Long Will Knowledge Be Useful?

1 Cor 13:8b-12 (Phi) For if there are prophecies they will be fulfilled and done with, if there are "tongues" the need for them will disappear, if there is… Continue

Faith is believing and acting on the TRUTH!

Luke 18:8b (NIV) When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?

Believing The Truth

Faith is believing in what is true. Faith has two elements: 1) being convinced of the truth, being certain of reality, having evidence of unseen things, and 2) believing, hoping in, embracing, seizing the truth.

Heb 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope… Continue

Biblical Examples of Rebukes & Principles for Protecting The Message

2 Tim 2:15-17 (Phi) For yourself, concentrate on winning God's approval, on being a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, and who knows how to use the word of truth to the best advantage. But steer clear of these unchristian babblings, which in practice lead further and further away from Christian living. For their teachings are as dangerous as blood-poisoning to the body, and spread like sepsis from a wound. Hymenaeus and Philetus are responsible for this sort of thing, and they are palpable… Continue

The Gospel is Jesus...NOT PROSPERITY!

2 Tim 2:8 (NIV) Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.

The gospel is a message. It is also referred to in Scripture as a "word", a "doctrine", a "seed", the "good news", "the truth". Because God uses the message of the gospel to reconcile men to himself, it must be taught, heard, understood, believed, confessed and defended.

The Message is That Jesus is The Christ, that He Was Crucified, and Rose Again!

1 Cor 15:1-4 (NIV)… Continue

What The Bible Really Says About Money

Money

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 16:13 (NIV) "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

Mat 6:19-21 (TEB) "Do not save riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Instead, save riches for yourselves in heaven, where moths… Continue

Is Gambling A Sin? What Does the Bible Say abut Gambling? Part 1

Question: "Is gambling a sin? What does the Bible say about gambling?"

Answer: Gambling can be defined as “risking money in an attempt to multiply the money on something that is against the odds.” The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to "get rich quick" (Proverbs 13:11; 23:5; Ecclesiastes… Continue

Be a Servant, Not a Martyr!

by Elect Lady Antoinette N. Davis

We all know what a martyr is. We’ve all heard heartrending stories of heroic men and women who, down through the ages, have paid the ultimate price and been killed for what they believe. But there's another kind of martyr without courage and nobility. I’m sure we all know one—a great and constant sufferer who’s always willing to share their pain with anyone who will listen. This martyr wants everyone around to know the sacrifices they’re making in their… Continue

A Balanced Look at Submission to Authority

By Elect Lady Antoinette Davis

Maintaining balance in every area of our life is very important. I believe it is a major key to

walking in victory. The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8, Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be

vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion

roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Satan cannot devour anyone

he pleases. He can only gain access to those who are… Continue

Are We Still In A Struggle? (now that we have a black president)

Are we still in the freedom struggle, or did the successful campaign of our newly elected president satisfy the yearning for a just America? Have now our weary feet finally come to the place for which our fathers died? There is now going to be a non-white family living in the Whitehouse for the first time. Does this mean Dr. M.L. King’s dream is come to full fruition? Is this what he meant when King prophetically said in his last speech “we as a people will get to the promised land”? Have we… Continue
