Let Them Name It, You Just Walk in It! I have never seen a day where so many are title crazy. I have seen so many who are looking for the next realm in titles, we now have Bishops, Arch-Bishops, and Senior Arch-Bishops. I am looking for potentates and finally and then someone that will call themselves Pope! Yet there are times that others will give us titles to belittle us. I have been an ordained Elder in The Church of God in Christ, Inc. since 1999, yet there are still those who seek to"…

WHY AM I A CHRISTIAN
The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He heth anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captive, and to recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (LUKE 18:4).
As thou has sent Me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world(ST.JOHN 17:18).
The story of Jesus' return to His home town…

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
My name Calvin Watt and growing up was not easy for me. Living on the Lower East Side of Manhattan N.Y., I found myself at the age of nine in a word of trouble. At that age I join a street gang call the Royal Javelins. It was then that I was introduced to drugs and Alcohol. This led to stealing, violence, and of course through the years, JAIL. I did not know it then but God had his hands on me. “Thank you Jesus”. The last…

Five-Fold Ministry
The Ministers Handbook
This Handbook is being written to help those who have a desire to serve in ministry, but may not know how to begin serving. It is my desire to impart a few insights that I have gained over the years of service to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Much of what I will be sharing, will be from the word of God itself and the rest will be that which I believe is implied by the word.
When one begins on their journey with the Lord, one must…

Ephesians 1:13 states that “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise”. Apostle Paul wrote this letter of assurance to the believers in Ephesus, as well as us now.
In his day (Apostle Paul's), goods shipped from one place to another would be stamped with a wax seal and imprinted with a signet ring, bearing a unique mark of ownership. The same was true of an…

Lessons from Elijah: Learning to Trust God
By Mark Seay
LighthousePrayerLine.org
"Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years" (James 5:17 - NLT).
We can learn how to trust God by better recognizing how He provides for our needs on a daily basis. Through this trust, we are able to glorify God. "So eat and drink and do everything else for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31…

During a Fellowship Dinner with some members of BPN, we were asked a question. The question was: What is your passion (for the Kingdom of God). If any of you have read my profile or my blogs, you will always see the word "Youth". THIS is my passion. My heart goes out to the Youth and Young Adult for various reasons. This is the Ministry that God has given me and I work diligently. I thank God for my Ministry and for those he has placed in my life whether it be for me to be a help to them, or…

I find it appalling, when talking with someone who claim he's a Christian, strongly believe in the knowledge and understanding that Jesus was actually beating to pulp with his skins shredded, his wrapping clothe soaked wet with the blood dripping all over his body, crowned with thorns, made to walk miles carrying an heavy cross while being ridiculed and being spit on, and him finally made it to his crucifixion site, got nailed to the cross and was hanged on that cross. With all that done, yet…

Why aren't you married?" has to be the single most asked question I get at this point in my life. What does a person mean when he poses this question?
Is he really asking me, "What is wrong with you?" It sure feels like it!
Although I usually give a polite response such as, "I am just waiting on God," what I really want to shout at the top of my lungs is: "To tell you the truth--I don't know. But I am not really worried about it. I am happy just the way I am. Now leave me…

In our quest for happiness we must be sure that we don't settle for a Playmate when God has a Soul mate waiting for us. Sometimes this is a hard distinction to make. Playmates are tricky. They are so much fun to be with that even the smartest of us will be fooled into thinking this has to be our Soul mate. Worse yet too many of us attempt to make a Soul mate out of a Playmate.
The danger of this is that later, after years of playing we will meet
our Soul mate, but it may be too late.…

I BELIEVE THAT LIFE IS SHORT AND YOU MUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TIME YOU HAVE. GOOD THINGS COMES TO THOSE WHO WAIT AND ALSO THEM THAT WORK FOR IT. I ALSO BELIEVE A WISE MAN CAN CONSTRUCT A STRUCTURE BY LOOKING AT THE PARTS. I BELIEVE A WISER MAN WOULD READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. I VIEW THE BIBLE AS LIFE'S INSTRUCTION MANUAL. IN LAYMAN TERMS:READ YOUR BIBLE! SMILE. I LOVE GOD. I AM FAITHFUL TO HIM. HE DESERVE THE NUMBER ONE SPOT IN MY LIFE. HE HAS NEVER BROKEN MY HEART AND IT IS MY WILL NOT TO…

I have been having some back and forth discussion on the issue of gays and kingdom of God lately. Most of the discussion were with church folks who believe that gay people are not welcome in the church. I know many of you who has same notion will be reading this as well. It also happen that there is a concern about someone who proclaim to be gay and then pastoring a church.
My respond was, if you shut the door of your church on someone being gay (regardless if they are practicing…
