When one hears this particular word, their thoughts may stray in several different directions, as to it's meaning, and depending on what's going on in your life, or where you are spiritually located at the time, it really is open for interpretation. For the woman whose life was about to be changed by a predesgined encounter with Christ, it initially meant " a source of provision/necessity", but to the Shunamite woman whose prized, only son who lay dead and cold, it meant " I BELIEVE GOD", and…

The ABC'S of the Christian life.
________________________________________
The ABC'S of the Christian life.
Although things are not perfect.
Because of trial or pain.
Continue in thanksgiving.
Do not begin to blame.
Even when the times are hard.
Fierce winds are bound to blow.
God is forever able.
Hold on to what you know.
Imagine life without His life.
Joy would cease to…

"Spiritual temperatures"
In the Chrsitian life there are three spiritual temperatures.
1. A Burning Heart on fire for the Lord.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us,
while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the
scriptures?
2. A Cold Heart.
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold.
3. A Lukewarm Heart.
Rev…

Soma, Psyche, Pneuma.
I Thessalonians 5: 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4; 12 For the word of God [is] living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
I .Soma –means – Body.…

Seek ye first…
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought
his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall
be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.
1. Seek Lord.
2. Seek Meekness.
3. Seek Righteousness.
4. Seek Judgment.
5. Seek peace.
6. Seek…

Religious Museum.
A father took his son to a large city museum, thinking that the visit would entertain the boy. But for two hours the lad did nothing but sigh and complain .Finally in desperation he said to his father,” Dad ,let’s go some place where things are real.”
Some people that way when they read the Bible. They think they are in a Religious Museum, looking at ancient artifacts that have no meaning for life in today’s scientific world .But they are wrong.

Religion was invented to control people.
The average person who makes this claim generally does not have any idea who may have invented a given religion. The statement is generally made by people who are in rebellion against all authority. It could be said that government is about controlling people.
Sin has a far greater control over people's lives than religion. The God of the Bible wishes to release people from the power of darkness.
"For we know that the Law is spiritual, but…

Psychology and the Evangelical Church
________________________________________
Nothing in the history of the modern church has induced believers to abandon their faith in the sufficiency of God’s Word like the pseudo-science of psychological counseling. Consider the following: the evangelical church is a primary referral service for counseling psychologists and psychiatrists. Many large churches have licensed psychotherapists on staff. Mission agencies are requiring their missionary…

Around 2002 I was asked to minister at a church in Florida. I ministered there for a few days. The church was avery very religious church. Each day that God allowed me to minister, I walked in the prophetic which was new to them. It was an older established black church.
On saturday afternoon I sat and talked to the pastor who was several months, perhaps close to a year of retiring. As we talked he pulled out an awesome vision and plan that he had been holding onto for over a decade.…

Funny how a $100 "looks" so big when taken to church, but so small when taken to the mall.
Funny how long it takes to serve God for an hour, but how quickly a team plays 60 minutes of basketball.
Funny how long a couple of hours spent at church are, but how short they are when watching a movie.
Funny how people can't think of anything…

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14 (KJV)
It has been said, “There is no happenstance, coincident nor chance in God.” This is a true saying. You were not created willy-nilly. You were created on purpose. Even as I examined the lives of my closest ancestors, they too did not perceive God’s purpose for their life. Thus, much of their life was lost to purposelessness. When I…

Read in your Bible in 1 king 12:26 to 13:3.
The kingdom of Israel has been split into two kingdoms… Jeroboam was the king of ten tribes and Roboam the king of Judah. Now the temple was in Jerusalem… the glory of God was in Judah. The presence of God dwells in Jerusalem. Jeroboam said that if the people make it to the House of God they will…

For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness--in conformity to God's will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]. Hebrews 12:11
An undisciplined person looks for ways to avoid hard work. Passivity prevails in our culture; everything is…

Here is a three part series that John wrote on the demoniac found in Mark 5. Each point has a powerful message that is meant to stir us to action for the Lord.
May you be blessed by each one.
